Hacker Summer Camp, a.k.a., Black Hat USA 2016, has officially come to a close. We came away unscathed (we hope) after a week spent in Sin City with thousands of security researchers.
We partnered with Bugcrowd to kick the week off with a boom. Together we hosted the official opening Black Hat USA party at Club LIGHT, featuring Coolio—the grammy-award winning artist—and DJ Ani Quinn. We had a great time connecting with Black Hat attendees while enjoying a great party and live music.

Still exuberant from the night before, the Distil team hit the exhibit hall floor the next day. Visitors stopping by our booth got to see a live bot attack and walk away with limited edition Black Hat 2016 T-shirts. Lucky winners took home an Amazon Echo. When not manning our booth, you likely saw Distillers wandering the exhibits or attending one of the 100+ IT security briefings, so as to remain on the vanguard of InfoSec knowledge.
We closed out the week with an unforgettable, experiential event hosted along with Bugcrowd and Okta. Prospects and customers had the opportunity to get behind the wheel of a Ferrari, Lamborghini, or Porsche on a private racetrack, along with their own professional racing instructor. Maybe it was having the chance to network with like-minded security leaders, or the exhilaration of driving over 140 mph—either way we left Las Vegas excited for what’s ahead.
Now that we’re back home in the safety of our own wi-fi network, we want to thank everyone at Black Hat for another memorable year. If you didn’t catch us in Vegas, check out our events page to learn where you can meet us next!
