Safestore stops price scraping and form spam with Distil Networks

We’re confident Distil is blocking bots—not genuine customers. And with price sensitivity being key, we’re assured that automated extraction agents are stopped cold.

– Phil Fryer, Head of Information Technology

Overview

Safestore is the largest self-storage operator in the UK, with 120 stores there and 26 in the greater Paris region. Phil Fryer, head of information technology, has seen the company grow both organically and through acquisition over the past 11 years.

Its rental enquiries are the lifeblood of its business. “We always need a steady flow of enquiries,” Fryer reports. “For over 80% of them, the first point of contact is our website.”  After consulting with a Safestore sales expert, 60% select a different-sized space—either larger or smaller—than their original online quote.
